Hummingbirds anticipated to return to St. Louis soon

ST. LOUIS: The return of hummingbirds to Missouri and Illinois is an early indication of spring.

It is anticipated that the bird will soon arrive in the St. Louis metropolitan area.

Hummingbirds have not been recorded seen in Missouri, however they have been frequently observed in the southern United States.

Food, water, and shelter are necessities for successfully preparing a hummingbird feeder. Hummingbird Central claims that trees offer refuge between meals, protection, and an insect supply for nourishment.

A lot of hummingbirds also like to use bird baths that have a steady stream of water or a tiny waterfall.

Within the next ten to two weeks, sightings of the birds are anticipated in Missouri or Illinois. Visit Hummingbird Central to find out more information on hummingbirds or to report a sighting.
