Kobe Beef Caprese Salad

Ingredients: – 8 oz Kobe beef steak – 1 large ripe tomato, sliced – 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced

– Fresh basil leave – Balsamic glaze, for drizzling – Extra-virgin olive oil, for drizzling – Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat your grill or grill pan to high heat.  Season the Kobe beef steak with salt and pepper on both sides. 

Place the seasoned steak on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. 

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing thinly against the grain. 

On a large serving platter, arrange the sliced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese, and thinly sliced Kobe beef steak. 

Garnish the salad with fresh basil leaves.  Drizzle balsamic glaze and extra-virgin olive oil over the salad. 

Season with additional salt and pepper to taste, if desired.
