Ingredients 1 ¾ cups white sugar ¼ cup dark corn syrup ¼ cup butter 1 tablespoon cold water 2 teaspoons cornstarch
3 large eggs ¼ teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 ¼ cups chopped pecans 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell
Directions Turn the oven on to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, corn syrup, butter, water, and cornstarch. Once fully boiling, remove off the heat.
Using an electric mixer, beat eggs in a large bowl until foamy. Beat in cooked syrup mixture gradually. Add pecans, vanilla, and salt and stir.
Cover pie shell with pecan mixture. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the filling is set, in a preheated oven.
